Pool of the Year 2026
Which swimming pool deserves the title Pool of the Year? Not a jury decides that, but you. Vote for your favourite pool in October; in November the public chooses from the ten pools with the most votes per category.
How it works
Voting round 1 — Oct 1 to Oct 31
Vote for any pool in the country. You confirm your vote by e-mail; without that click it does not count.
The nominees — Nov 1 to Nov 7
We check the votes and determine the ten pools with the most votes per category.
Voting round 2 — Nov 8 to Dec 15
Now it is between the nominees. One vote per category per e-mail address. We deliberately keep interim results private.
Results — from Dec 17
The winners are announced and receive a badge for their own website.

A public judgement of how accessible a pool feels in practice — not a measurement.
This category only runs if at least five pools receive votes.
The rules
We publish the rules because a result is only defensible if everyone knows how it was reached.
- Voting requires an e-mail address that you confirm.
- In voting round 1 you may support several pools — each pool once per address.
- In voting round 2 you have one vote per category per e-mail address.
- A category only runs if at least five pools remain after moderation.
- Disposable e-mail addresses are excluded.
- Interim results are not shown during the voting rounds.
